What is Tai Chi?

Tai Chi - A Connection Between Body, Mind, and Spirit
Tai chi, pronounced "tie chee", is a mind-body practice that originated in China as a martial art.
Tai chi has 3 basic components: movement, meditation, and Dan Tien breathing. While
practicing tai chi moves, you will move your body slowly and gently, while breathing deeply
and meditating. Many practitioners believe that tai chi helps the flow of qi ( chee) throughout the
body. Tai Chi has been proven to help mental and physical health. If you aspire to achieve a
balance of mind, body, and spirit, Tai chi offers you a low impact and fun way to reach your
goals. Practicing Tai chi allows you be in the moment and connect with your body so it can work
